The Venice 320 is the largest of Midas' Venice series of compact consoles and brings the famous Midas quality to an affordable price point. The Vernice series consists of the 160, 240, and 320 models. The 320 has 32 inputs over 28 channels, configured as 24 mono and 4 stereo. It features 4 submix busses into a stereo master. 4 band EQ with swept mids on the mono channels and EQ defeat switches, plus high pass filter. 2 FX sends, 2 monitor sends and 2 aux sends per channel. Mute and solo switches. 2 fx returns on faders with routing to submixes or mains. Talkback. Rudimentary monitor section for studio use. Phantom power switches on each channel. Mono channels have direct outs and inserts. Stereo channels have L & R line out.
Console has jacks for gooseneck lamps.
- The console is easy to use, has a quite musical EQ for a board in its price range, and features the famous Midas preamps which are significantly better than most found in consoles of this class.
- The latest ones contain Firewire ports for connection to a computer for recording. (Mine does not have this feature.)
- The small one (160) is rack mountable with a rotatable jack panel.
- The 240 and 320 have jacks for use with an outboard power supply in addition to the onboard one, allowing redundancy.
